[Comparison] Intel Core i7-10870H vs AMD Ryzen 9 4900H – The Ryzen 9 is 12% better in 3D Rendering

The fighter that Intel has chosen for today is the Core i7-10870H, which has an 8-core, 16-thread layout that is usually reserved for really high-end models. From AMD, we have the Ryzen 9 4900H, which has the same number of cores and threads, a lower boost speed, but a quite higher base speed. This should ensure a faster performance in prolonged tasks.

CPU benchmarks
In the 3D Rendering test with Cinebench 15, we saw the Ryzen 9 4900H score 12% higher, which is quite significant. The higher boost clock on the I7-10870H doesn’t really matter here, as 3D Rendering takes quite a lot of time to finish and the CPU can’t stay at that speed for a long time. This is why the higher base clock on the Ryzen 9 is better for a prolonged task.

Conclusion
To summarize, the Ryzen 9 4900H performed 12% better in 3D Rendering, which is helped further by its higher base clock that allows it to maintain a high level of performance even after a prolonged time under heavy load. This makes the Ryzen 9 4900H the winner in this comparison, and in general, Ryzen processors have performed better in prolonged heavy resource tasks. Intel is still to find a way to restore their former glory.
