[FPS Benchmarks] Doom Eternal on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) – the difference is insignificant
DOOM Eternal is the latest title of the popular series. The game uses the id Tech 7 engine which is pretty well optimized and the game looks really good. You can spot a good amount of fine details in every game level. As we said, the optimization is definitely a good one and that’s why this title runs fine (of course, on Low details) even on iGPUs like AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 (Ryzen 4000) and inexpensive dGPUs as the NVIDIA GeForce MX350 (25W).
Since the new NVIDIA Ampere GPUs are already on the market it’ll be interesting to see what is their actual performance in a blockbuster game like this one.

Verdict
In short, the performance of both GPUs is enough for Ultra Nightmare quality. The two video cards can show more than 144 FPS on average and that’s good for people with fast gaming displays. The difference between these two graphics solutions is nothing to write home about – around 4% on average. Probably you’re not going to spot the difference if you don’t look at the performance metrics.
