Top 5 reasons to BUY or NOT to buy the Dell Latitude 13 3320
The term ultrabook is often misused as people believe that every ultrabook should have the best possible performance. While this can be the case, quite often, in fact, it is not a requirement. Today, however, we have the Latitude 13 3320 from Dell, which brings the security, portability, and privacy that an ultrabook should have.
Along with that, you can spec it up so that it can become a powerful little beast. You get a total of four Tiger Lake G-series CPU options, which all come with their respective Irix Xe Graphics iGPU.
Today we present you with LaptopMedia’s top 5 picks about the Dell Latitude 13 3320.
Dell Latitude 13 3320: Full Specs / In-depth Review
3 reasons to BUY the Dell Latitude 13 3320
1. Battery life
The device comes with a relatively large for this size 54Wh battery unit which lasted for 12 hours and 55 minutes of Web browsing and 11 hours of video playback, which is very good. The laptop will without a doubt last you through a whole day of work, with some spare. Now, we conduct the battery tests with Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits, and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with.
2. Input devices
While there is some significant deck flex, the keyboard provided a near excellent experience. The key travel is long, especially if you consider the dimensions of the laptop, and the feedback is clicky. The unit has a backlight and the power button doubles as a fingerprint reader.
The touchpad, however, was not as good. It feels a bit sluggish and sufferers from input cancellation, which should be fixed in the future. With most laptops, the touchpad gets automatically disabled when you type on the keyboard, in order to prevent accidental presses or swipes. However, the system here doesn’t seem to work.
3. Design and build quality
Portability is key for this laptop or else everything falls apart. The laptop is extremely lightweight, with a weight of only 1.16 kg, while being around 16mm tall. With an entirely plastic build, this isn’t the most durable laptop out there. The chassis is quite bendy, which is to be expected. The lid cannot be opened with one hand. The design is decent with sharp edges and rounded corners. You get a Dell logo on the lid and the bottom bezel.
2 reasons NOT to buy the Dell Latitude 13 3320
1. Upgradeability
Unsurprisingly, the device has soldered RAM, which cancels any plans for upgrading it in the future. As of right now, the laptop comes with up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, which will last you for a while. As for the storage, you get one M.2 PCIe x4 drive slot.
Here is our detailed teardown video, which shows you how to access the M.2 slots, along with access to the cooling for general maintenance down the line.
2. Display quality
The display here could have been better. The 13.3-inch Full HD IPS panel does a fine job for standard use, with its comfortable viewing angles and 1200:1 contrast ratio. The panel has a max brightness of 266 nits in the middle of the screen, 259 nits as an average for the entire display area, and a maximum deviation of 8%. While testing the display, we recorded heavy use of PWM for brightness adjustment. The panel uses PWM unless you have the laptop at full brightness. Thankfully, our Health-Guard profile eliminates this issue. The panel also covers a measly 54% of the sRGB color gamut.

The color accuracy on the laptop didn’t match the standard dE value of 2.0 or below. Below you can check the results of our test with both the factory settings (left) and with our Design and Gaming profile applied (right).
