Project CARS 2 comes with 3x4K resolution, virtual reality and astonishing graphics (+ trailer)

The developers of Project Cars 2 – Bandai Namco and Slightly Mad Studios announced that the game will be released at the end of 2017 and it will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

The new installment will feature an upgraded auto park with 170 cars and more than 60 tracks some of which will have different iterations. There will be new game modes – the fan requested Online Championship as well as races on a snowy, icy or muddy tracks. The PC version will support virtual reality and 12K resolution (the developers call it 12K but it’s really 3x4K).

Project CARS (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) is a simulator with unbelievable graphics and detail in which players can enjoy numerous customization on the vehicle setup, tire wear out and real time fuel consumption. The weather is changing – dry, rain, fog – all elementals alter the vehicle handling in a realistic way. The assortment of vehicles can satisfy everyone’s taste – front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, 4х4, race cars, formula, carting, retro… The tracks included are some of the most popular in the game – Spa, Monza, Silverstone, Suzuka as well as some real-life tracks with changed names (lack of license) – Cote d’Azur (Monte Carlo). The developers want to take it to the next level. Created by gamers, tested by famous racers and e-sports professionalists pick Project Cars 2 promises to deliver a supreme racing experience. The addition of so many cars (170 vs 74) is definitely an interesting feature. The wide gamut of tracks should meet everyone’s taste. The developers promise better gamepad controls.

The New Online Championship game mode will deliver infinite possibilities for e-sport champions while the addition of snowy, ice and muddy tracks will draw even the attention of rally fans.
