The new Lenovo ThinkPad X380 Yoga business convertible series – specs, features and configurations
Today we are going to take a look at another business convertible by Lenovo – the ThinkPad X380 Yoga. In terms of specs and versatility, this notebook is quite similar to the ThinkPad L380 Yoga that we showed you the other day but it also adds a few premium features that make it even better.
You can check its in-depth specs and more information here: http://laptopmedia.com/series/lenovo-thinkpad-x380-yoga/
The ThinkPad X380 Yoga is still a 13.3-inch 2-in-1 convertible laptop which makes it quite portable. Unlike its cousin L380, X380 is made out of a carbon fiber hybrid which gives it a lot of strength and durability while maintaining the weight low. Thanks to it, the X380 is around 100 grams lighter measuring at 1.43 kg (3.2 lbs). It is not on the thin side though compared to other 13.3-inch notebooks with its 18.2 mm (0.72″) profile, however, that is a sacrifice you have to make to get a MIL-STD-810G military certification that promises protection in all environments.
As for performance, you get up to an 8th gen Intel Core i7-8650U, the same processor found in the Microsoft Surface Book 2. It is backed by up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of fast PCIe NVMe SSD for storage. There is no option for a dedicated GPU but then again it is not a gaming notebook.
The ThinkPad X380 Yoga is packed with all sorts of features and security options. With the RapidCharge technology, you can get up to 80% of the 51Wh battery in just an hour of charging minimizing the time you are stuck to the outlet. The 10-point multitouch screen supports the ThinkPad Pen Pro unleashing your talent and allowing true-to-life handwriting.
The ThinkPad X380 Yoga is all about security. You get both hardware and software protection. You get a Kensington security lock, a fingerprint sensor, and even an optional infrared camera which can be used for facial recognition. You also get a discrete Trusted Platform Module which is used for data encryption. On top of all this, you get Fast Identity Online – FIDO – which enables layers of authentication, for instance, it secures your online credentials when making payments via PayPal and others.
