HP has just announced its refreshed Chromebook 14 with improved battery life, different processor and lowered price. While last year’s model starts at $300, the new variant will sell for $250 or $280 with Full HD IPS screen, which is, by the way, a good bargain. It’s hard to come across a Chromebook with 1080p display for under $300.

The most notable upgrade, however, is the battery life. With HD (1366×768) HP claims the battery will keep the machine running for 9 hours and 15 minutes which is more than an hour compared to last generation. The main reason for this might be not only larger battery, but the new CPU as well. It’s now Intel Celeron N2840 instead of the NVIDIA Tegra K1. The rest of the specs are the same – 16GB internal storage, 2GB of RAM and two screen options, as we already mentioned – HD and Full HD.
