Verdict

At the end of the day, it seems that the GeForce RTX 3080 [130W] is 19% faster on average when compared to its smaller sibling. That is a decently big performance gap between them but on the other hand, the performance of the GeForce RTX 3070 [130W] is probably enough for most people. Even on the Highest preset, it achieved 89 FPS which is (probably) fine for smooth gameplay. And yes, the RTX 3070 [130W] is cheaper as well.

The RTX 3080 [130W] could offer maximum possible performance if your wallet is big enough.
