日本Intel Core i7-1065G7 vs i7-10710U – the Comet Lake wins, big time
Ice Lake vs Comet Lake. Core i7-1065G7 is almost the best CPU of the former line-up at the moment, trailing just behind i7-1068G7 (there aren’t any 1068G7 laptops on the market yet nor we have one for testing). On the other side, we have the i7-10710U – the 6-core ULV beast sitting on the top of the Comet Lake list.
The price difference between the CPUs isn’t that big – Intel is offering them for $426 (1065G7) and $443 (10710U). But which one is better?

Core i7-1065G7 has fewer cores than its competitor today (4 to 6 for i7-10710U) and also has less cache (8MB to 12MB) so we can expect it to be easily beaten in the 3D rendering test. But why does it have an almost identical price to the more powerful Comet Lake CPU?

Well, as you’ve already noticed Core i7-10710U is much more powerful when it comes to computational performance. That will help you in situations like video and image editing or 3D rendering. On the other hand, Core i7-1065G7 is equipped with a better graphics card. However, if you need GPU performance you’ll probably choose a laptop with a dedicated video card so we’d recommend the Comet Lake processor here.
