Benchmarks

Results are from the Cinebench 20 CPU test (the higher the score, the better)

Results are from our Photoshop benchmark test (the lower the score, the better)

For the purposes of this comparison, we have decided to compare the performance of the two chips found in Dell XPS 15 9575 and MSI GS73 STEALTH PRO respectively. Looking at the charts above, Intel Core i7-8705G shows around 9% better performance when it comes to 3D rendering (tested with Cinebench 15). On top of that, the 8th gen chip surpasses its rival in our Photoshop benchmark test scoring 5% faster results.

Conclusion

To sum things up, based on the performance shown in our tests, the winner in today’s comparison quite surprisingly is the 8th gen Intel Core i7-8705G outperforming the 7th gen Intel Core i7-7700HQ in 2/2 benchmarks.
