日本ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 (G834, 2023) review – no game can challenge this beast
There are a bunch of gaming notebook types. One of them is the affordable one – a machine meant for everyone who wants to enter the gaming world. Then, there is the middle tier, where you start to get interested in graphics settings and frame rates. Above these two, you get the heavy-duty gaming machinery. It aims to give you everything you need to run a game at maximum settings and with playable fps.
And then comes the category of utter beastiality. Here, you will find the ROG Strix SCAR 18 (G834, 2023). It is a laptop that goes above and beyond the requirements of any game. Something that crushes desktop computers from as soon as last year, faster than you can say “NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090”.
We say that because this is precisely what you can get the ROG Strix SCAR 18 with – a 175W version of the aforementioned GPU, as well as the Intel Core i9-13980HX. We are not sure if you understand the potential of this machine, but you should definitely be excited by it. And yes – there is a MUX switch present inside.
To further fuel your emotional arousal, the machine can be found with a 240Hz 18-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and full DCI-P3 coverage. After the revolution of the 16-inch displays, it is only natural to start seeing 18-inch devices. Now, the time has come.
