Metro Exodus is a beautiful-looking game that offers an interesting single-player campaign that follows and extends the storyline of the previous two games. While exploring the dark tunnels that are populated with monsters and hostile NPCs, you’re going to notice that the title looks very good (especially on Extreme preset) and perhaps your laptops will be a bit more noisy and hot than usual because this game is one of the heaviest titles on the market up to date.

Without further ado, let’s see how fast are the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (100W) and RTX 3060 (100W) when it comes to Metro Exodus.

Verdict

First of all, we are a bit surprised that on Low settings the smaller GPU is 25% faster compared to the bigger sibling (probably this is an isolated specific machine-related case). On the other hand, when it comes to Extreme settings, the GeForce RTX 3070 (100W) is 31% faster than the RTX 3060 (100W) which is a decent performance gap. It seems that the High preset is the sweet spot for both video cards because the FPS is almost doubled and the visual quality is still good.
