Samsung releases 4TB SSD 850 EVO

Samsung is one of the leading companies that produces consumer SSDs. Thanks to the offered high quality and speed the South Korean developers have made a name for themselves on the market with series such as 650, 850 and 950. Samsung 850 EVO is one of the most famous SSD lineups and this is due to the wide variety of models with different capacities and types (M.2, mSATA, 2.5-inchers). Additionally, the company announced that the model in question will undergo an “operation” and we can now find versions of 850 EVO with a maximum capacity of 4 TB. In other words, 850 EVO is the first SSD with such a great storage space to target casual users.

Furthermore, the large capacity does not hinder fast read/write speeds. According to the manufacturer, 850 EVO offers 540 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write speed. All this is possible thanks to the V-Nand technology, which is MLC (Multi-level cell) in the model in question. Also, the model type is 2.5-inch and Samsung has announced a final price of $1499.
