The New Acer TravelMate P2 Renders Most 14″ Business Laptops Obsolete Thanks to Superior Cooling

    We wish more laptops had cooling like the Acer TravelMate P2, as the tests that we ran during our review are just mind-boggling. Currently, it’s available on Amazon for around $760-$770. For the price, you get a 13th Gen Intel Core U-series CPUs, which is decent in terms of performance, but very efficient.

    However, today we’re talking about just how well the TravelMate can sustain its CPU in long runs, thanks to a great cooling setup courtesy of Acer.

    Max CPU load

    This is our stress test, which puts the CPU under full load to see how the cooling will react. So far, the TravelMate P2 is the laptop that manages to run the Core i5-1335U with the highest clock speeds that we’ve seen, going past the 15W base TDP and maintaining 28W for prolonged loads, while spiking to 55W in short bursts. In most tasks, like applying filters and effects in Photoshop, you need a lot of power for a short amount of time, exactly the type of power the Core i5-1335U provides.

    You can see how the high clock speeds and TDPs show up big time in the performance benchmarks, as the TravelMate P2 stops any “business machine” dead in its tracks in Cinebench R23.

The Acer TravelMate P2 (TMP214-55) is a 14-incher that is ready for work on the go. The device is powered by Intel Raptor Lake U-series CPU options.
