Battle royal games are getting more popular over time. Apex Legends is one good example of a decent game that belongs to this genre and at the same time, it’s also free-to-play. The game is created with the aid of Valve’s Source engine. The end result is not bad at all, the visuals are up to date but on the other hand, this title isn’t light as some other Source-based games like CS:GO for example.

However, like every other battle royal game, this one offers a large map for exploration as soon as you land on the ground and perhaps that’s why the game isn’t that light. If you want to reach 144 Hz on Ultra details, your device must be a powerful machine.

Verdict

The good news is that both contenders perform decently. For starters, if you have a 144 Hz display, it seems that Medium preset is enough for that – even the 90W GPU is able to hit 178 FPS on average. If you want Ultra details, the 115W GPU is 9% faster in this mode compared to its smaller sibling – 139 FPS is a respectable result. On average, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (115W) is 15% faster than the 90W contender.
