LG officially announced K8 and K5 – budget models with sleek appearance

After the first arrival of LG K8 on LG’s official web page a month ago, the company has now officially released the phone itself, along with another the LG K5. The manufacturer claims that the models are designed for users seeking stylish appearance at a decent price. LG K8 is going to be available in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East while the users in Europe will be able to enjoy only the K5 model.

LG K5 has a 5-inch display with 480 x 854 resolution, quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which could be expanded with a microSD. The phone also features two cameras – a 5MP rear shooter and a 2MP front-facing one. Android 5.1 Lollipop is running the show and the phone also supports 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.

LG K8 is positioned slightly higher in the segment with a 5-inch screen, but 720p resolution. Another difference between the two models is the location of the power button and volume rocker keys, which are placed on the back. The device sports the same SoC as the K5 and supports LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. It also has a 5MP camera at the front. Both models will hit the market by the end of this month.
