日本Inside HP Pavilion Gaming 15 2019 – disassembly and upgrade options
We were impressed by how the new Pavilion Gaming from HP performs, cools and looks. Let’s now take a quick look and see what did HP do on the inside.

1. Remove the bottom plate
As there are virtually almost no laptops that still feature service lids, you will need to remove the entire bottom panel of this device. While it is held in place by only 7 Phillips-head screws, make sure you keep them organized or at least remember that the longer ones are on the back, while the shorters are for the front side. After that begins the slow and painful prying process, that we found rather difficult on this machine.
2. Battery
In order to take the 52.5Wh battery out, you would need to unscrew four more screws. Before you start, don’t forget to remove the battery connector from the motherboard.
3. Memory and storage
Then come the RAM and the storage. Let’s start with the former. This notebook supports up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, across two RAM DIMMs. Additionally, there is a 2.5″ SATA drive slot and one M.2 slot that supports super-fast NVMe drives.
4. Cooling system
While this notebook features improved ventilation and exhaust grills (by improved we mean enlarged), the internal design of the cooling solution is not less important. It features two heat pipes – one fat and one rather thin, that cool down the CPU and the GPU directly. Then, there is one that dissipates the heat from some GPU components and one that spreads the heat away from the VRMs.

For some stupid reason, my front phillips screws WILL NOT come out. I can’t get 2 out of 3 of them to budge a single millimeter. Can someone help me with this? I have this laptop and its HDD failed. I need to take it apart to replace the hard drive.
