Honor 6 Plus and its HiSilicon Kirin 925 vs the top models – performance tests

fdvfHonor 6 Plus is a high-end model and like one, it offers high performance levels, provided by a HiSilicon Kirin 925 processor. It features 4 Cortex-A7 cores, operating at 1.3 GHz, and 4 more powerful Cortex-A15 cores, operating at 1.8 GHz. The cores are based on the big.LITTLE architecture.

With a Mali-T624 graphics card and 3GBs of RAM in addition to that, we can’t expect nothing less than high results on our CPU and GPU performance tests. We’re done with most of them, so it is time to show you the results, compared to other high-end smartphones’.

Smartphones from the comparison:
1. Sony Xperia M4 Aqua – Snapdragon 615 MSM8939, 2GB RAM, Adreno 405
2. Motorola Moto X (2014) – Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 2GB RAM, Adreno 330
3. Samsung Galaxy A7 – Exynos 5 Octa 5430, 2GB RAM, Mali-T628 MP6
4. ASUS ZenFone 2 – Intel Atom Z3560, 2GB RAM, PowerVR G6430

You can expect more tests and information about the capabilities of HiSilicon Kirin 925 in our upcoming review of Honor 6 Plus.

3DMark (Ice Storm Unlimited)
In this test, 3DMark’s Unlimited engine uses a fixed frame interval and renders exactly the same frames in every run on every device. The frames are rendered in 720p “offscreen” while the display is updated with small frame thumbnails every 100 frames to indicate progress.
