For the sole purpose of online education, HP has revealed the ProBook x360 11 G7 EE. The EE stands for Education Edition. The laptop is preloaded with Windows 10 Education and is fast and zippy enough so that a kid can have a pleasant experience while using it.

The design is children-proof, in the way that it has a rubberized lid cover, which handles scratches easily. The reinforced steel corners provide the necessary drop resistance, which was tested from 122 cm. The laptop is also splash-resistant and has irremovable keycaps, which is great since we know that children will try to swallow everything these days. The laptop is very compact with a screen that has a diagonal of just 11.6-inches. When you add a reasonable weight of 1.42 kg you get a very sturdy and solid device, which is thinner by a millimeter than its predecessor.

The display options for both laptops are two and both of them have a diagonal of 11.6 inches and a 768p resolution. The difference between them is the technology that they use to display the image. The first screen has a TN panel, which is considered worse than its IPS counterpart, the panel which the second display uses. Since this is a device for a young student, both will do a fine job, so choose whichever is more affordable.

The hardware is greatly improved on the new device, as it features Tiger Lake CPUs, which replace the now 3-year old processors inside the x360 11 G6 EE. Don’t get too excited as they aren’t the G4 and G7 Core processors. What powers this machine is either a Celeron N4500 or N5100 or a Pentium Silver N6000. Now, these CPUs won’t blow you away with their performance, but they have just enough punch, to make for a surprising zippy machine. The Tiger Lake architecture is also very power efficient, which will extend the battery life significantly. The I/O stays the same with a total of three USB ports, HDMI and Ethernet connectors as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack.
