1. Excellent build quality
The new HP Spectre is made out of aluminum and has diamond-cut edges. It’s not just ultra-solid, it’s beautiful – thin (19.3 mm / 0.76″), and relatively light (2.18 kg / 4.80 lbs). Since its an “x360”, as you guess, you can easily turn the laptop into a tablet or in a stand position, given the strong hinges.
2. Magnificent UHD display
The configuration we tested uses AUO30EB panel – 15.6” UHD IPS with 320 nits brightness, great contrast ratio (1510:1) and 94% coverage of the sRGB/ITU-R BT.709 color gamut. Our Design and Gaming profile makes it useful even for design work bringing the average dE 2000 down to 1.8 (3.9 without profile).
3. Overperforming hardware
Although the results in Cinebench aren’t impressive, Intel Core i7-8565U in HP Spectre x360 15 performs great in our Photoshop test, beating even Intel Core i7-8705G. The GeForce MX150 GPU also works great – the results we got are the best we’ve ever recorded for an MX150.
