ADATA wins iF Design Award 2017 for its SD700 external SSD

It seems that this year has a very good start for ADATA. After the Taiwanese company showcased a number of new products at CES 2017 back in January, it now received an award for one of them. We are talking about the SD700 – the world’s first extremely durable external SSD which uses reliable 3D TLC NAND flash technology and is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.

So what is the award about? Well it’s an iF Design Award 2017. The product in question has been selected among 5 575 other products by a commission consisting of 58 independent experts. Now, to acquaint you a bit more with the essence of this prize, iF Design Award has been one of the most recognizable and esteemed awards in the field of product design for more than sixty years. Well, then what made the jury pick namely the ADATA SD700 and not any other product? Their decision was not motivated by one reason, of course – the device sports attractive design, sturdy construction, IP68 certification as well as the fact that this external SSD meets the MIL-STD-810G516.6 American military standard which guarantees its being shock proof.

You may also wish to know that SD700 is offered in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB configurations, and brings read/write speeds up to 440MB/s. The external SSD is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Android. It offers quiet and cool operation.
