Huawei officially presented P8 Lite (2017) – spec sheet and price

While we are all waiting to see new lineup of P10 smartphones Huawei is surprising us with the official announcement of the P8 Lite (2017) which is not only an upgrade to last year’s model but also to its successor – the P9 Lite.

The spec sheet of this year’s model includes a 5 inch IPS screen with Full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution. The device runs on the Kirin 665 SoC that has eight Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-T830MP2 graphics card. The internal storage remains at 16 GB while the RAM is upgraded to 3 GB. The rear camera has a 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel one. The operating system is Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s proprietary user interface on top. We see a difference in the design – the corners are now much more rounded both on the front and the back, which is most likely glass-coated.

P8 Lite sales in Europe should start this month at a price of 239 Euros ($249).
