0アップル、敗北か？Snapdragon X Eliteがバッテリー寿命でトップに君臨、インテルに勝ち目はない
アップルとそのM搭載MacBookは、効率とバッテリー駆動時間に関しては王者だが、もはやそうではないかもしれない。Snapdragon X Eliteは、ラップトップ用に直接作られたARMベースのチップで、アップルのMシリーズの性能と 効率に匹敵するか、それを上回ることを目標としており、ついにWindowsユーザーにARMに代わる高性能なチップを提供することになった。 インテルとAMDが独自のARMベースのデザインを発表するという噂もあるように、これらのチップは、薄型軽量のラップトップに関しては、新たなステータスになりそうだ。エヌビディアはARM社を買収しようとしていたが、規制当局の圧力により買収できなかった。エヌビディアは、自社のAIチップの多くがARMアーキテクチャを利用しているため、ARMプロセッサに多額の投資を行っている。 とはいえ、気を取り直して、Snapdragon X EliteとApple M3の比較を見てみよう。他の参加者には、コア・ウルトラ7 155Hとコアi7-1255Uが含まれる。 ローカルビデオ再生 このテストでは、インターネットをオフにし、画面の明るさを150ニットに調整しています。ループビデオは、より一般的で効率的なコーデックであるH.264エンコーディングを使用している。ここでは、マイクロソフトの ARMベースのSQ3を搭載したマイクロソフトSurface Pro 9 5Gを使用した。このテストは相対的な性能を使用しているため、正確な時間はわからないが、Snapdragon X Eliteが最も長持ちし、Apple M3がそれに続く。次がCore Ultra 7 155Hで、これもかなり強力なチップだ。最も効率の悪いCPUはCore i7-1255Uで、TDPがわずか15Wであることを考えると異常だ。 生産性 Procyon生産性ベンチマークは、3DMarkベンチマークを作成するのと同じ人々によって作成されました。オフィスアプリのパフォーマンスをテストするもので、Officeアプリ、Photoshop、Premiere Proなどのワークフローをシミュレートする機能を備えている。ここでは、Office Productivityベンチマークがあり、Word、Excel、PowerPointなどのパフォーマンスを計算します。ここでは、X Eliteのスコアが最も高く、Core Ultra 7 155H、マイクロソフトSQ3、Core i7-1255Uと続く。Apple M3は、ProcyonベンチマークがmacOSでサポートされていないため、欠番となっている。 Snapdragon X…
