News is quickly spreading – Mozilla’s Firefox browser is available for iOS users. After the first test, Mozilla gave up on making a Firefox app for iPhone and iPad blaming Apple’s App Store policies. However, 8 months later the company is ready to give it a shot again.

While the other web browsers like Google Chrome, for example, have long supported iOS, for Firefox things were different because they didn’t like the idea of connecting with the App Store.

Mozilla did offer a Firefox Home app many years ago, which allowed the users to access their bookmarks, but they refused to launch a browser.

The company said that it was all about Apple’s restrictions, which prevented it from implementing the JavaScript engine and other improvements, but fortunately for Firefox’s fans, Apple changed these restrictions with iOS 8.

Now the Firefox browser is available for iPhone and iPad, delivering all of the features that you expect, including Firefox Account syncing for bookmarks, open tabs, history, passwords, Private Browsing mode, and search suggestions.

Just like Chrome, Firefox submits the information about the number of open tabs and allows you to quickly switch between them.

Firefox is totally free and you can download it from the App Store right now by following the link below. Keep in mind that the app requires iOS 8.2 and above, so you won’t be able to download it if you are still using an earlier version of the OS.
