Lenovo Legion 5i Pro (16″ Intel, Gen 6) is a good laptop that comes with a decent amount of upgrade options and capable cooling. In this article, we’ll show you how to disassemble the machine.

1. Remove the bottom plate
For removing the bottom panel, you have to undo 10 Phillips-head screws and then you can pop up the bottom plate with a plastic pry tool.
2. Battery
The battery has a capacity of 80Wh – it seems normal for a powerful laptop like this one.
3. Мemory and storage
When it comes to upgradability options, this Lenovo notebook doesn’t disappoint. It has two M.2 PCIe x4 slots for fast NVMe drives. In terms of RAM, it offers two SODIMM slots – so, no soldered memory here, which is great.
4. Cooling system
As you can see, the cooling solution is massive and it literally covers almost half of the internals of the laptop. There are four heat pipes – two of them are solely cooling the CPU and GPU, another one is shared between them, and the last heat pipe is cooling the video memory chips.
