One of the best features of the ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) is its custom user interface – ZenUI. Asus have spent a lot of time creating their own UI that actually looks good, has many functions and it’s relatively light, so unnecessary lag or delay occurs.

You can check out the official ZenUI clip from ASUS, which highlights some of the most interesting features in the UI.

Here are the various useful apps that come with ZenUI:

Do it later – a planner type of application which can be synced with Google Tasks.

File manager – combining all your files from Dropbox, Google Drive and One Drive, as well as ASUS’ own WebStorage and HomeCloud in one convenient place.

Kids mode lets you restrict the access to some of the apps on your phone, so that your kids won’t be able to mess with them. It also blocks the access to websites with adult-only materials (works only in the Browser app). This app stops the younglings from accessing the chosen apps by means of a four-digit PIN code.

ASUS ZenCircle can be used to capture, edit and share the moments and events that grab your attention and lets you share them on popular social networks. You can find and follow your friends’ ZenCircles or befriend and follow other ZenCircle users.

The most interesting thing here – ZenMotion. There are six different gestures for six applications which can be launched directly from sleep mode. For example, if you draw a W on your screen while it’s turned off, you’ll start the browser app. C is for camera and V is for the dialer app.
