Disassembly, Upgrade options, and Maintenance

To take this notebook apart, you first need to remove the plastic shroud on the back. To do that, undo the four Phillips-head screws keeping it in place. Remove it with the help of a plastic pry tool. Then, undo the rest 9 Phillips-head screws that hold the bottom panel to the chassis.

Here, we find an 80Wh battery pack. To take it out, unplug the battery connector from the motherboard and undo all six Phillips-head screws that secure it in place.

Memory-wise, you get two SODIMM slots that support DDR5 RAM. You will find them underneath a metal shroud. As for storage, there are two M.2 PCIe x4 slots, both of which work with Gen 4 SSDs (read the caution below!).

⚠️ CAUTION!
Our reader, Rahlquist (thank you!), noticed that the standoff for the 2242 SSD in the right M.2 slot is too tall. This can cause a longer 2280 NVMe drive to bend. While the system still recognizes the drive, we advise against using SSDs longer than 42 mm in this slot, to avoid potential issues in the future.

In terms of cooling, you get three heat pipes, which connect to four heat sinks, where two fans blow the heat away. In addition, there are a couple of heat spreaders that dissipate the heat of the graphics memory and the VRMs.

Salut! J’hésite à acheter un loq 16, mais un truc me dérange, en ce moment les loq 16 ont de super promo allant de 984$ (la version 4060 amd 7 7840HS) à 700$ la version 3050 mais il n’apparaît pas dans les tops de pc à low budget, c’est normal ? Sinon, merci pour cette revue.
