With the review of the Lenovo Miix 3 drawing ever closer, we would like to show you how it performs in our benchmark tests. First, let’s start with the specs of its SoC.

The SoC in Lenovo MIIX 3 (10.1”) is Intel atom Z3735F. It is power-efficient and has 4 cores clocked at 1.33 – 1.83 GHz. The performance and energy efficiency have been improved compared to its predecessor, thanks to the optimized 22nm low-power design process with Tri-Gate transistors. Due to the utilization of the pipeline and many other improvements, the performance per clock is increased by about 50 percent, but unfortunately, the Hyper-Threading feature is missing. Support for new instruction set extensions such as SSE 4.1 and 4.2 as well as, depending on the model, AE-NI are among the other improvements worth mentioning. The graphics card in the Z3635F is Intel HD Graphics with a Bay Trail graphic accelerator. Its clock speed is relatively low – 646 MHz, and it has only 4 execution units. Hence, it is slower than the Ivy Bridge (HD Graphics 4000) series. Since the SoC only consumes 4 watts, it is good for tablets with passive cooling.

We had trouble installing the 3D Mark benchmark on the device and that is why the results is “0”.

The Lenovo Miix 3 got decent results, but we had hoped that they would be a little bit higher.

Due to the small internal storage of the device (32GB), we weren’t able to test its gaming capabilities.
