The new Lenovo ThinkPad T580 is targeted at users who are on the lookout for a powerful business laptop. Keep reading to find out more about its most essential specifications.

Starting off with hardware options, you can choose between the latest 8th gen Intel Core processors providing plenty of computing power for any business tasks you throw at the notebook. In addition, the choice of graphics cards is between NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (2GB GDDR5) and Intel UHD Graphics 620 – they are both suitable for day-to-day usage. What’s more, you can use up to 32 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM so running multiple programs at the same time should be easily accomplished. And up to 512GB SSD + up to 500GB HDD will most probably suffice your storage needs.

Now let’s take a look at the display options – a 15.6-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution or 15.6-inch IPS one with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) res. Lenovo ThinkPad T580 is also fairly portable as it boasts dimensions of 366 x 253 x 19.95 – 20.2 mm and weighs just 1.95 kg (4.3 lbs). And if you can’t find a power outlet to recharge your battery, you could simply swap it with a fully charged one thanks to the built-in Power Bridge technology.

There are also different login options – you could use the optional fingerprint reader or the IR camera (optional) for facial recognition. Another feature worth mentioning is the Trusted Platform Module used for data encryption. And that’s not all – you get Fast Identity Online – FIDO – which enables layers of authentication, for example, it secures your online credentials when you sign in to websites such as Facebook or make payments via PayPal, etc.

And finally, the connectivity options consist of 1x USB 3.1 Type-C port, 1x USB 3.0 Type-C port, 1x USB 3.0 Type-A port (Sleep and Charge), 1x USB 3.0 Type-A port, HDMI, SD card reader, combo audio jack, as well as Security Lock slot.
