The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VH1B covers a decent chunk of colors, which is great for gaming. After all, while you need your games to run and feel smooth, it would be all for nothing if they look dull, limiting your enjoyment and experience. In terms of specs, the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VH1B offers classic gaming specs, with a 27-inch Full HD VA panel, which offers higher contrast but slightly lower peak brightness.
But, as most gaming rooms are dark anyway, that’s not gonna be a problem, unless your RGB lighting is too bright, in which case, dial it down lil’ bro. What’s more important is the 165Hz refresh rate and the 1ms response time, as well as the FreeSync Premium support.

Design and Connectivity
The curved design that debuted first in 2014, is now available from many different brands and price ranges, including the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VH1B, which currently retails for $179 on Amazon (link up top and in the Verdict below). For the price, you get a full plastic chassis, a cable channel in the stand, as well as Tilt and Swivel adjustments. Verdict
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VH1B is one gaming monitor that’s rather good at the gaming part, thanks to all of the features that you’re getting.
The color coverage is on point too, with 99% sRGB coverage and 86% DCI-P3 coverage. The problem is with the color accuracy, as our Web Design and Office Work profile isn’t able to provide any noticeable improvements, offering only a 14% increase in accuracy.
The rest of our profiles provide a clear impact, as the Gaming and Movies profile is able to stabilize the black colors, thus improving visibility in dimly lit scenes, be it games or movies.
The last of our profiles does the most important job. Of course, we’re talking about the Health-Guard, which reduces Blue Light and PWM (Flickering), thus giving you a more pleasant and healthy experience. Blue Light negatively affects your sleep, while PWM tires your eyes very quickly.
