[Comparison] Intel Core i7-1255U vs AMD Ryzen 5 5625U – great improvement from the Ryzen, but still not enough

While we already saw the Core i7-1255U make quick work of the Ryzen 5 5600U, the AMD chip went to the gym and bulked up, resulting in the Ryzen 5 5625U. However, the gym session only results in a 100MHz increase to the boost clock, so we haven’t gotten our hopes up for a surprise upset. Still, let’s see how the Core i7-1255U does against the Ryzen 5 5625U.

Today we are comparing the Intel Core i7-1255U against the AMD Ryzen 5 5625U.

    Conclusion

The Ryzen 5 definitely improves its performance, which gives us hope for AMD’s ULV future. Turns out there is hope for Team Red. Now, what we want to see is the Ryzen 7 5825U go against most of the new U-series chips from Intel, because it appears that Alder lake is not as invincible as we thought before.
