How to open ASUS ExpertBook B1 (B1503) – disassembly and upgrade options

Undo the 4 Phillips-head screws securing the bottom panel.
Use a lever tool to pop the rear area behind the hinge cover, starting near the top edges.
Lift the top corners and fully pry the back.
Continue prying around the sides and front with a thin plastic tool to release the remaining clips.

Battery Removal

Caution: Wear gloves to avoid short circuits and handle components gently.

Slide up the small metal cap on top of the battery connector to unlock it.
Carefully raise the connector by its sides using a plastic tool to disconnect it from the motherboard.
Slide down the two metal brackets on either side of the battery to free it from the base.
Lift the 42Wh battery out of the chassis.

Storage Upgrade

Locate the M.2 slot compatible with 2280 Gen 4 SSDs; the Wi-Fi 6 card is positioned to the right of it.
There is also an additional M.2 slot for 2230 SSDs located between the fan and the SODIMMs.
The preinstalled NVMe SSD has a small thermal pad underneath, and a long rubber element in front of the slot prevents the SSD from bending.
