Acer Aspire 5 (A515-58M) review – snappy device with very good display and low price
In 2023, you can find a lot of affordable devices with Intel Raptor Lake U CPUs. The Acer Aspire 5 (A515-58M) can be configured with these Intel chips and on top of that, the price of the notebook isn’t hefty. This Acer machine offers a good amount of extras for the class.
You can choose between three 15.6″ 16:9 display options – two of them are 1080p variants – one IPS and one TN. Avoid the latter unless your budget is super tight. The top panel model is a 1440p display which isn’t something ordinary for this kind of price tag. That’s why we bought a laptop with the exact same display model to see if it’s a “light” version or not.
The notebook offers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 (or optional Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2) which are up-to-date connectivity extras. Acer also claims a long battery life which can be possible given the efficient CPU platform.

Bewertung für Acer Notebook – Aspire A515-58M-77DY (gekauft im 7. März 2024) Leider kann ich dieses Acer Notebook nicht empfehlen. Schon beim Kauf in Malaysia wurde ich falsch beraten. Mir wurde versichert, dass das Gerät leistungsstark und zuverlässig sei, doch meine Erfahrungen sind anders. Das größte Problem ist die Hitzeentwicklung. Das Notebook wird sehr schnell sehr warm, vor allem auf der linken Seite, wo die Festplatte sich befindet. Ich war überrascht, dass eine Festplatte so viel Wärme produzieren kann.
