AMD Radeon R5 M240, codenamed “Mars”, is a mid-range graphics chip, announced on September 9, 2014. It is part of the GCN (Graphics Core Next) generation, constructed through a 28nm process and has 320 Radeon cores.
All of them operate at 650MHz. AMD’s Turbo clock can increase the frequency up to 700MHz, based on the laptop’s cooling facilities.
R5 M240 has a 64bit bus and DDR3 memory, and it supports DirectX 11.1 and Shader 5.0.
