Today we have some good news for all Alienware fans – the company has finally come up with a compact notebook that sports the Max-Q GPU design and thin screen bezels – the Alienware m15!

And so, this bad boy has an otherworldly design, as usual, but let us have a look under the hood. We find a choice of two processors – an Intel Core i7-8750H or Intel Core i5-8300H. Whichever you choose, high performance is guaranteed as they occupy the 4th and 8th positions in our Top Laptop CPU ranking respectively. Graphics-wise, we are presented with either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q (8GB GDDR5) or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5) which are 8th and 11th in our Top Laptop GPU chart. All this comes to show that Alienware is quite serious and don’t want to disappoint their fans.

Additionally, to ensure smooth multitasking the laptop can take up to 32GB of RAM. When it comes to storing files, you get up to a 1000GB HDD. Moving on to the screen department, we are glad to mention again that this is the first Alienware notebook to have thin display bezels! We are presented with three display options – 15.6”, 4K UHD (3840 x 2160), IPS, 15.6”, Full HD (1920 x 1080), 144 Hz, IPS, and a 15.6”, Full HD (1920 x 1080), IPS one.

Also noteworthy are the two battery choices – 60Wh and 90Wh. All this is fit in an elegant chassis that is only 21 mm thick and weighs 2.16 kg. With the m15 you also get 4-zone RGB keyboard backlight and a USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt 3. The machine is expected to hit the market on October 25th and have a starting price of $2000.

As for the competition, you could have a look at the thin ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX531, MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 8RX, and GIGABYTE AERO 15.
