ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA607 (2024) review – Deze budget gaming laptop heeft een verrassing in petto
De nieuwe ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA607 (2024) zit boordevol moderne hardware. Dit omvat krachtige AMD Zen 4 Dragon Range-HX CPU’s en NVIDIA RTX 4000 grafische kaarten met forse TGP’s. Zoals altijd zijn de TUF-machines een stapje lager vergeleken met de ROG broers en zussen, maar de fabrikant probeert een goede prijs/prestatieverhouding te behouden. Enkele van de belangrijkste extra’s voor gaming zijn beschikbaar voor alle apparaten – G-Sync, MUX Switch en NVIDIA Advanced Optimus ondersteuning.
Je krijgt slechts twee 165Hz IPS beeldschermopties, maar dat is prima gezien het prijskaartje. Het basis beeldscherm is een 1200p eenheid terwijl het optionele model een 1600 resolutie heeft. Dit herinnert ons eraan dat de paneelverhouding 16:10 is – het grotere scherm is comfortabeler om op te werken. Het toetsenbord heeft achtergrondverlichting. De I/O lijkt goed voor deze klasse, maar het ontbreekt aan Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 poorten. Toch krijg je twee Type-C poorten, wat prima is. De upgradebaarheid is helemaal niet beperkt en dat maakt het apparaat meer toekomstbestendig. Je kunt ook rekenen op extra’s zoals twee Dolby Atmos speakers met AI noise-canceling technologie en Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.3 voor connectiviteit.

Wat zit er in de doos?
Het apparaat is goed beschermd in een grote stevige doos.
Binnenin vonden we wat papierwerk en een grote 280W adapter. Sommige laptops worden ook geleverd met een TUF rugzak, P309 TUF GAMING M3 muis of een 100W Type-C AC-adapter, maar er zijn regio-afhankelijke goodies.

Can you tell me abit more regarding the Hinges’ durability? Do you think that ASUS TUF’s “military grade” laptop hinges are better than other budget laptop such as Acer Nitro, HP Victus, and MSI GF63? I’m really curious about how they compare. Thank you very much in advance!

The laptops we review are brand new from an online store. Although we haven’t encountered problems with their hinges, we can’t guarantee long-term reliability.
