ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (FX507, 2023) review – hogere prijs maar betere prestaties

In deze test gebruiken we 100% op de CPU-kernen en controleren we hun frequenties en chip temperatuur. De eerste kolom toont de reactie van een computer op een korte belasting (2-10 seconden), de tweede kolom simuleert een serieuze taak (tussen 15 en 30 seconden), en de derde kolom is een goede indicator van hoe goed de laptop is voor lange belastingen zoals video rendering.

We ervoeren een zeer vreemd gedrag van de processor. De processor draaide niet alleen op lage frequenties, maar schakelde ook hyperthreading uit gedurende de laatste 5 minuten van de test. Als we naar de vermogenscijfers kijken, zien we een PL1-limiet van 70 W en een PL2-limiet van 35 W, wat in niets lijkt op wat we hadden verwacht met de “Turbo”-preset in Armoury Crate.

Aan de andere kant is de TUF Gaming F15 (FX507, 2023) echt concurrerend op GPU-gebied. Hij presteert beter dan de MSI Katana 15 (B13V), die zelf een enorme verbetering ten opzichte van zijn voorganger bracht.
Comfort tijdens het gamen
Hoewel de laptop behoorlijk luid is tijdens het gamen, komt hij zeker niet in de buurt van de luidste apparaten die we hebben getest. De hoogste temperatuur aan het einde van de test ligt net onder de 40°C. Tenminste, dat is rond het toetsenbord. Ga je iets hoger, dan zie je temperaturen rond de 45°C (wat nog steeds niet al te slecht is).
Batterij
Nu voeren we de batterijtests uit met de Windows Better performance instelling ingeschakeld, de schermhelderheid ingesteld op 120 nits en alle andere programma’s uitgeschakeld behalve het programma waarmee we de notebook testen. De 90Wh batterij van dit apparaat gaat 13 uur en 3 minuten mee met surfen op het web, of 11 uur en 20 minuten met het afspelen van video.

Hi, i have a question for you guys. i’m in doubt between buying the Asus TUF f15 with i7-12700H and RTX 4060 or the Acer Nitro 5 An517-55 with i7-12700H and RTX 3060. Hey, luca, Sorry that it took me ages to write you back. If I have to be completely honest with you, it really depends on what you need the laptop for. Ultimately, the RTX 4060 is the better GPU of the two, and naturally, if both devices share the same processor and price tag, the more viable option would be to go for the RTX 4060 (in this case, the TUF F15). I know this is late but how much is the wattage of the Nitro 5? remember even if its a 4060 if it has a lower wattage over the 3060, the 3060 will outperform the 4060

Hey. I just got this laptop yesterday and I’m having issues: performance in cb23 and timespy is much worse than I see here. I get 12000 graphic score in timespy, about 1500 / 14500 for cb23 single / multi.
Also in games it heats like to 90-95

Hello, I have a question about the RAM.
I have a asus TUF f15 FX507VV-ds91 with a i9 core and RTX4060 and 2x8gig 3200MHz DDR4 so-dimm
I wanted to know if it is possible upgrade this to a DDR5 so-dimm 32g or 64g RAM. I read from the asus website and it does support DDR5 rams but only at 24g RAM. So I am a bit confused on this matter.
