AMD has taken a huge swing at their biggest competitor – NVIDIA. The American manufacturer just released their new GPU model – Radeon Pro Duo. The graphics card was revealed earlier today, 15.03.2016 – a date you should remember for a number of reasons. First, there’s the construction of the new GPU – it is based on two 28 nm manufacturing processes used in Fiji chips. The latter were already present in some of AMD’s latest offerings – R9 Fury X and R9 Nano.

Each of the chips sports 4GB HBM RAM, 4096 Radeon cores, 256 texture and 64 raster cores, making Radeon Pro Duo the most powerful graphics card currently in existence. In order for the GPU to be able to handle not one, but two of AMD’s most powerful chips, the manufacturer has added a Cooler Master branded liquid cooling system. Here’s why we believe the GPU doesn’t have any competition. The most powerful GPU (until yesterday) was the NVIDIA TITAN Z, which got completely blown out of the water by AMD’s new offering – an advantage of 51% in 3DMark results at 4K resolution with Intel Core i7-5960X CPU and 16GB DDR4 RAM. Finally, the GPU has three Display Port connectors and one HDMI port.
