As we’ve already mentioned, we’re currently putting Alcatel One Touch Idol 3 through our tests. It features solid hardware which requires a reasonably large battery. Considering the thin profile of the smartphone (only 7.4mm), the 5.5-inch Full HD screen, and the octa-core Snapdragon 615, providing long battery life doesn’t seem like an easy task. In this specific instance, the battery has a capacity of 2190 mAh, which doesn’t sound bad at all. We’re still testing the model, but we have results that shed some light on the durability of Alcatel One Touch Idol 3 (5.5).

In our web surfing test (Wi-Fi) the smartphone managed 685 minutes (11 hours and 25 minutes) – a good score. The result from our video playback test was a bit lower, but still in line with our expectations – 590 minutes (9 hours and 50 minutes). Naturally, the lowest result was from our 3D gaming test where we got 233 minutes (3 hours and 53 minutes). Maybe our expectations were a bit too high for this one, but still, we weren’t disappointed.
