Announced in January 2018, the Intel Core i7-8705G is a fast quad-core processor based on the Kaby Lake G architecture. The CPU currently takes the 11th place in our Top Laptop CPU ranking so we decided to briefly acquaint you with its specs sheet.

Built through a 14nm manufacturing process, Intel Core i7-8705G features a total of 4 cores ticking at a base frequency of 3.10 GHz that can go up to 4.10 GHz. Other specs include 8MB of L3 Cache, support for up to 2400 MHz dual-channel DDR4 memory controller with a maximum capacity of 64GB, as well as TDP rated at 65 W. The processor is also paired with the integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL which has 931 MHz base clock and max frequency of 1011 MHz.

Some of the supported technologies include AVX, AVX2, Quick Sync, Virtualization, and AES-NI.
