[FPS Benchmarks] PUBG on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) – the 130W GPU wins but the smaller one is fast too
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is one of the most popular battle royal games. The gameplay is simple – you have one big map, a lot of players on it, and the last man standing wins the match.
Perhaps it looks like an easy job but it isn’t. If you want the win you have to play strategically -scavenging for ammo and weapons and if you want to be the last player on the map you have to have some patience.
PUBG isn’t too heavy – oldies like the GeForce GTX 1050 ti can reach 60 FPS on Low. Let’s put the old GPUs aside, it’s time to check the performance of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W).

Verdict
Okay, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) wins the match with a 27% lead on average. That sounds pretty normal given the fact that there is a 45W TGP difference between the two contenders. But the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (85W) is a fast product as well – 138 FPS on Ultra is a decent result especially for that kind of TGP.
