Another day, another article about a new laptop series and this time we are looking at the MSI PS42 super mobile business series. As the name suggests, these are pretty compact machines meant for business people. So, without further ado, let’s get to the point.

As it is typical of compact machines, they do not use extremely powerful hardware. Here, we are looking at only one CPU option – the Intel Core i5-8250U. This is one of the first ULV chips from the latest 8th Gen Intel processors. Nonetheless, it takes the 23rd position in our Top Laptop CPU ranking which means that it will ensure enough performance for a business notebook. Additionally, the choice of graphics cards is limited to one too – NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (2GB GDDR5).

Moving on, we are looking at up to 16GB of RAM which is enough for business users. Another noteworthy feature is the option to choose up to 2000GB SSD – pretty sweet! As mentioned above, this is a super mobile 14-inch laptop which weighs only 1.18 kg and has a profile thickness of 15.9 mm. When it comes to screen quality, MSI has got you covered with a 14.0”, Full HD (1920 x 1080), IPS panel.

Before we conclude this short article, we would like to list several competitors to this series. One of them is the 13-incher Dell XPS 13 (9370) and another opponent is found in the face of Lenovo YOGA 920 (14″) which has a screen with the same size.
