Without further ado here are our Top 5 picks about the Microsoft Surface Book 3.
4 reasons to BUY the Microsoft Surface Book 3 (15)
1. The design and build quality
Surface devices have had the pleasure of being built with premium materials. This Surface Book 3 is made out of magnesium that is both durable and stylish. While the device weighs significantly (1.9kg), we are able to excuse it because it feels and looks solid, and it’s built like a tank. The removable display adds versatility, letting you use it freely as a tablet.

2. The display
As for the display, the Surface Book 3 comes with a 15-inch IPS panel with a very high resolution that is extremely close to 4K and has an aspect ratio of 3:2. It has great viewing angles, high maximum brightness, and covers 92% of the sRGB color gamut.

As for the color accuracy, it performs great especially with our Gaming and Web design profile applied. Below are two charts with the results between the factory settings (left), which are still pretty good, and when the profile is applied (right).
3. The Speakers
The device’s speakers are located in the housing of the display, and they provide clear and rich audio with no deviations across the entire frequency range.

4. The Features
The device comes packed with a variety of ports and has support for the newest Wi-Fi standard, that being Wi-Fi 6. Another awesome feature is the front and rear camera, which can both record 1080p video, making the device a beast, when it comes to conference calls and business meetings.
1 reason NOT to buy the Microsoft Surface Book 3 (15)
1. The Upgradeability
As for the negatives of the device, the upgradeability is a pretty strong one. The soldered dual-channel RAM makes the device impossible to upgrade in the future, making it a set in stone decision. So make sure you get the appropriate RAM size for you, be it 16GB or 32GB. We would recommend the 32GB option since it will make the device more future-proof as software starts demanding more and more resources.
