ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304) review – this laptop is thinner than hair
In this world, there are portable laptops, there are thin and light devices, and then – there is the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304). It is branded as a 1 cm, 1 kg device – the only time a man would brag about such a number.
To be honest, ASUS has the right to brag about this one. At least on paper. In this review, we are going to find out if they are right, or if we should strip its bragging rights on the spot.
The first thing that is utterly impressive, is that the manufacturer was able to introduce an HDMI connector, and a regular USB Type-A at this thickness. Apple will be baffled. And what is the other – definitely the battery? There is a 63Wh package inside, which is a larger unit than what many 17-inch notebooks have.
And this time there is nothing hidden – sometimes manufacturers like to claim certain numbers but then have to open tiny parenthesis where they mention that this is only with a passive cooler, or a 33Wh battery for example.
Nevertheless, this device can be found with the Intel Core i5-1335U or Core i7-1355U. Both are pretty capable and efficient CPUs. On top of that, it qualifies for Intel’s Evo platform, which ensures certain stability and not in the last place – performance.

What’s in the box?
The first thing we see is that this device’s packaging is really environmentally friendly. Everything is made out of paper and cardboard, with virtually no plastic in there. Inside, you will find some manuals (with no plastic packaging), and a 65W modular USB Type-C charger.
