    Step 1: Opening the ASUS Zenbook A14 (UX3407)

    1. Shut down the laptop and place it on a stable surface.
    2. Undo the ten Torx-head screws securing the bottom panel.
    3. Insert a thin plastic tool at one of the top two corners to create a gap and pry the side. Repeat for the other side.
    4. Carefully pry the front, then pop the rear starting near the top corners.
    5. Lift the back of the panel and remove it completely.

    Battery Removal and Replacement

    1. This laptop has a 70Wh battery in its high-end configuration; lower-tier models come with a 48Wh battery.
    2. To remove it, slide up the small metal cap on top of the battery connector, then lift the sides of the connector before raising the front. Always wear gloves to prevent short circuits.
    3. Undo the five Phillips-head screws securing the battery—note that four screws have rubber caps you’ll need to remove first.
    4. Lift the battery out of the chassis.


    Memory Upgrade

    1. The RAM is soldered directly to the motherboard, which is common for thin Copilot+ PCs.
    2. Our model has 32GB of LPDDR5X-8533 MHz RAM in dual-channel mode, which should be sufficient for everyday tasks.


    Storage Upgrade

    1. There is a single M.2 slot compatible with 2280 Gen 4 NVMe SSDs.
    2. Unlike many devices, the SSD here does not have an additional thermal pad for cooling, so consider adding one if you upgrade for better thermal management.
