ASUS reveals the new VivoBook S15 (S530) and S14 (S430)

ASUS announced two new pretty compact VivoBook models – S15 (S530) and S14 (S430) – which come in several color options and patterned finishes that make their design quite refreshing. These bad boys promise comfortable typing, great image quality with a new three-sided NanoEdge display design, and more. As for performance, they rely on up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 CPU, accompanied by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a dual-storage design for the S15 with up to 512GB SSD and 2TB of HDD storage.

With the changes in the design department, it seems that the manufacturer targets younger audiences who lead active lives and are in need of a really portable companion for their daily needs. The color options are Firmament Green, Star Grey, Silver Blue, Gun Metal, and Icicle Gold. Additionally, the available ErgoLift hinge makes it possible for you to experience typing quite similar to that on a desktop keyboard – when the laptop is opened the keyboard is tilted by 3.5°.

Furthermore, the NanoEdge display we mentioned earlier essentially means that the top and side bezels are extremely thin, allowing for an immersive visual experience. The latter is complemented by commendable color reproduction and wide-view technology. What’s more, the two laptops are thinner than other machines in their segment – only 18 mm thick, and 1.8kg for the 15.6-inch notebook, and 1.4kg for the 14-inch one.

When it comes to I/O, the laptops have got you covered – a reversible USB Type-C (USB-C), USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI connector, and a microSD card reader.
