NVIDIA: Welcome back, AMD!

A few days ago we shared with you some news about the latest AMD processors from the Ryzen series, Ryzen Threadripper. The embargo has already fallen and even their biggest rival in the GPU industry, NVIDIA, has failed to hide its emotions, which eventually turned out to be positive.

On its official page in Twitter the “green” company said it was eager to see in action the combination between the most powerful AMD Threadripper CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU. This may be due to the fact that the AMD chip features 64 PCIe 3.0 lanes, which means only one thing – configurations with GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and TITAN X in SLI mode. Considering Threadripper 1950X’s results in the Cinebench R15 benchmark test, as well as the computing graphics power of TITAN X, this combination may turn out to be a “gold mine” for users that work with large data and information files.

AMD’s response came shortly afterwards in the form of a GIF you can see below. We can’t wait to see whether the two companies will make a good team given the graphics rivalry between them but the fact that even NVIDIA commented on the well-done job by AMD with the short “Welcome back” speaks for itself about the new CPUs of the “red” company.
