最初の16インチと18インチのROG Strixラップトップを見たとき、ASUSがまだ17インチバージョンを作るとは思っていなかった。ASUSはそれを実現し、ASUS ROG Strix G17 G713P（2023）と名付けた。
この製品はAMDチップセットをベースにしており、新しいZen 4プロセッサーを搭載している。4nmアーキテクチャーを採用しており、チームレッドは2年間混迷を極めていたインテルに対抗してくるものと期待される。
これはASUSにとって（そしてAMDにとっても正直なところ）「成功するか、失敗するか」の瞬間かもしれないが、ゲーミングノートPCの全軍団を作っている以上、実験する余裕はあるのではないだろうか。
そして、ASUS以外に新しいことに挑戦するブランドがあるだろうか？ゲーミングコンバーチブル、タブレット、折りたたみ式ビジネスノートを作った会社だ。この特別な例は、朝飯前のように見える。
また、1年前のデザインを採用し、1440pの240Hz IPSディスプレイを搭載している。

I would say that the biggest “Con” is that it doesn’t come with USB4 or even Thunderbolt-4. These cannot be easily installed as an upgrade. But also there is the fact that they’re trying to pass this off as a Mid Tier gaming rig but it’s actually only a little better than the RTX4060 which has the same amount of VRAM for less money (8gb). You should NOT buy a gaming computer with less than 12GB of VRAM today. Honestly if you can’t afford the 4080 then you’d do fine with a 4060.
