When you look at the flagship laptops, you honestly see the exact same specs plastered onto a different design. Even with Creator laptops, it’s the latest H-series chips bundled with Ampere graphics and a display that has great coverage of one or more color gamuts.

However, with the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED, you actually get something different that can elevate an existing professional’s workflow to the next level. It also looks strikingly similar to the Zephyrus Duo laptops, with two screens and a touchpad that is off-centered.

Design

The laptop retains the same design from last year. In our review of the 2021 model, we found that the aluminum unibody was very durable and resistant to flex, while also being a treat to look at, with the circular pattern on the lid and the limited branding. The design has some clever features, such as the ErgoLift hinge mechanism, which lifts up the rear end of the notebook, improving the angle of the keyboard for typing and giving the fans on the bottom more room to breathe, which it needs to in order to keep the CPU and GPU’s temps in check. In terms of weight and height, the device stops the scales at 2.40 kg, which isn’t exactly lightweight, but for a laptop with two screens and the hardware inside, it seems fitting and has a profile of 21.5 mm.

Display

In terms of displays, you can choose between two 15.6-inch models, with either FHD or 4K UHD resolution. The 4K panel also uses an OLED panel. Both panels fully cover the DCI-P3 color gamut and have a max brightness of 550 nits, a 100000:1 contrast ratio, a response time of 0.2 ms, and bring Stylus support.

The additional Screenpad Plus can be used in a variety of apps and is one of the most innovative features that ASUS has released. The pad can be used in a variety of ways, including showcasing a live chat for streamers, the timeline for video editors.

Specifications and features

The laptop uses two Alder Lake H processors with either the Core i7-12700H or the Core i9-12900H. Both of them implement a totally new architecture, using efficiency and performance cores, along with a dedicated scheduler, which can quickly transfer tasks between them, in order to maximize performance and efficiency. For the graphics, we have the integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7, along with the GeForce RTX 3060.

The laptop’s I/O comes with a decent selection of ports, including a single USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and an audio jack. It’s not much but it should do a fine job. The speaker setup is provided by Harman Kardon.
