Ever wanted to dive into the world of 360 degrees photos, VR and al those new forms of media that are gathering popularity in the recent years but didn’t want to spend a lot of money? Or have you ever wanted to surprise a geek friend with some cool gadget? Well if the answer to one of these questions is yes then Samsung has a great deal for you.

Probably due to the recent release of the 4K 2017 version of the Samsung Gear 360, Samsung is putting on sale the first generation. We spotted the deal on Amazon where you can now purchase it for just $157 which is a whole 55 percent off the regular price of $349.99. There is no information regarding the duration of this discount but we suggest that it will be up until the device goes out of stock.

The original Samsung Gear 360 has two wide-angle f/2.0 cameras, one of each side, both of which can capture 180-degree photos and videos. Combined they can create full 360-degree photos with 25.9 MP resolution and videos (3840×1920). It is also IP53-rated for dust and splash resistance so you can take it outdoors for some sports too. However, note that the Gear 360 app is not compatible with all devices so make sure your phone or tablet supports it before purchasing the Gear 360.
