Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71) review – OLED is becoming mainstream

    Temperatures and comfort, Battery Life

    Max CPU load

In this test we use 100% on the CPU cores, monitoring their frequencies and chip temperature. The first column shows a computer’s reaction to a short load (2-10 seconds), the second column simulates a serious task (between 15 and 30 seconds), and the third column is a good indicator of how good the laptop is for long loads such as video rendering.

Average P-core frequency; Average E-core frequency; CPU temp.; Package Power

    MSI Pulse 15 (B13V)3.70 GHz @ 2.36 GHz @ 86°C @ 96W3.52 GHz @ 2.37 GHz @ 87°C @ 89W3.23 GHz @ 2.54 GHz @ 77°C @ 87W

Evidently, the Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71) performs worse than the two gaming laptops we’ve tested with this CPU. However, we can say that for a 14-incher that weighs 1.25 kg, it does a decent job at cooling the Core i7-13700H.

    Comfort during full load

Well, the entire chassis gets warm during extreme workloads, and the fans can become a little too loud for comfort.

    Battery

Now, we conduct the battery tests with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with. This device’s 65Wh battery pack lasts for 11 hours and 29 minutes of Web browsing, or 10 hours of video playback.

Does the 16″ OLED panel have the same performance characteristics and image quality? Is it comparable to the 14″?
